bythetime的三种用法

1、作为介词短语，表示“到……时候”、“到……为止”：例如：

By the time we arrived at the party, most people had already left.

（当我们到达派对时，大多数人已经离开了。）

2、作为连词短语，表示“到那时”、“等到”：例如：

By the time I get home, I will be exhausted.

（等我到家时，我会很疲惫。）

3、作为副词短语，表示“到某个时候为止已经”、“在……之前已经”：例如：

He had retired by the time he was 60 years old.

（他在60岁之前就退休了。）

4、作为动词短语中的从句引导词，表示“到……时候”，通常与完成时连用：例如：

By the time I had finished my homework, it was already midnight.

（等我完成作业时，已经是半夜了。）

5、作为从句中的引导词，引导时间状语从句，表示“到……时候”：例如：

I'll call you by the time you arrive in New York.

（你到达纽约时，我会给你打电话。）
