巧记由 vise 变化成的英语单词（二）
1、devise vt.想出；设计；发明[记]低（de-）头一直看着(-vise)题目，总是能想出来的。
[串]想出一个概念，设计一个雏形，发明一个物体。它们是递进的关系。
[真]Scientists have devised a way to determine roughly where a person has lived using astrand of hair,a tachnique that could help track the movements of criminal suspects orunidentified murder victims．科学家们发明了一种用一缕头发即可大致确定一个人住过的地方的方法，它可以帮助追踪犯罪嫌疑人或身份不明的谋杀受害者的行踪。（CET-4 09年6月阅读第二篇）
2、device n.装置；设备；策略
[记]想出来(devise)的，叫策略(device);发明(devise)出来的，是设备(device)。[辨]devise和device谁是动词谁是名词？这跟advise和advice的区别是一样的。它们之间只有s和c的区别，谁长得动感一些？当然是s啦!有没有想到SS在你面前扭动？
[例]The cell phone is the smartest device that human beings have ever devised．手机是人类发明过的最聪明的东西。
3、revise vt.修订
[记]写完后，一再(re-)地看(-vise)修订错误。
[变]revision n．修订
4、manage v．管理；设法处理
[记]人(man)上了年纪(age)就会管理了，能设法处理很多事。
[变]manager n.经理 management n.管理；处理[例]When we were kids,we always dreamed to be grown men so that we could manage to live abetter life; but when we grow up, we find that there are more stress and anxiety than we canmanage.小时候，我们总盼望着长大，觉得长大后就可以努力过上更好的生活。长大后，我们才会发现，现实中的很多压力和焦虑根本是我们没法儿很好处理的。
5、direct v.指向；指导；管理 a．直接的
[记]指向地(di-)方要正确(-correct)。[串]指向正确方向的人，能直接管理和指导我们。
[变]directly or indirectly直接或间接地（写作中用）direction n.方向；指令;说明 director n.导演；主任；指导者
[例]A director is a person who directly directs us to the right direction.管理者就是可以直接引导我们去正确方向的人。
6、conduct n.行为 v．管理；引导；导电；指挥（乐队）
[根]这个和下面要讲的这组词的词根叫做-duce/-duct，表示 引 ，比如introduce，叫做 介绍，引进 。而且-duce读音似 堵死 ，如果路堵死了，就要引导交通。
[记]con-表示 互相一一 ，-duct表示 引 。互相引导，所以叫管理；互相引起电，就导电。
[串]一个管理者要会引导和指挥我们的行为。
[注]这个管理是比direct和manage更低端的管理，因为它只是在引导行为。
[变]conductor n.管理者；指挥家；导体
[例]What we have learned will gradually conduct us to become better persons．我们所学的东西会渐渐地引导我们成为更好的人。
7、semiconductor n.半导体
[记]semi-就是same的变化，表示 像 。英文更加明确地说出了什么叫做 半导体 ，颜色只是像导体但不是导体。
8、insulate v.绝缘；使隔离
[记]最常见的绝缘体里面（in-)是塑料的(su-la-te)。[变]insulator n.绝缘体[例] Among the superstars in the entertainment industry,Takeshi has a very healthy imagebecause he is a gossip insulator.娱乐圈的巨星中，金城武有着非常健康的形象，因为他鲜有绯闻。
9、educate v.教育，培养[记]往外(-e)引导(duc-）知识，是教育。
[变]education n.教育 educational a.教育的；有教育意义的
[例]Parents often try to conduct their kids to watch educational cartoons.In reality,seldom dochildren watch such things．家长们常常引导孩子看一些有教育意义的动画片，可事实上孩子们可不爱看。
10、introduce v.介绍；引进
[串]介绍新产品，引进新市场。
[变]introduction n.介绍，引进[例]It is said that China Unicom will introduce 4G network later this year.据传中国联通年内稍晚时会引进4G网络。
