1、perform v.执行；完成；表现；表演

[记]per-全都：form-形式。所有的形式都做到了，完成得很好，表演得很棒。[例]Boys should try to perform well in the firstmeeting with their mothers-in-law and performtasks to show that you have responsibilities．男生们第一次和岳母见面时要努力表现好，并做一些能显示你责任感的事。

[变]performer n.执行者；表演者

2、 parformance n.表现；表演：性能

[搭]academic performance成绩(学术上的表现）

[例]Many audiences complain that the live performance of some singers is not as well as thatin their CDs.很多观众抱怨，有些歌手的现场表现没有CD里那么好。form n.形状；形式；表格；塑造 v.形成；组成

[记]为了（for-）追美眉（-m）要有形式。

[变]formation n.形成，构造

[例]Though the formation of the coral beds seems very simple,it actually takes thousands ofyears to form them.虽然珊瑚礁的构造看上去还挺简单的，但是它们都是要上万年才能慢慢形成的。

3、inform v.通知

[记]通知一件事就是让别人脑中(in)对一件事有形（form）有数了。

[搭]inform sb.of sth．通知某人某事

[变]information n.通知;信息（注意,是不可数名词）

[例]Every instant,there are a mass of information processed by our brain simultaneously．每一瞬间我们的大脑都同时处理大量的信息。（所以容易忘，所以要勤标记多重复)

4、formal a.正式的

[记]form+al(形容词后缀）

[反]informal a.非正式的，随意的

[真]Large companies,especially,like a background of formal education coupled with workexperience．大公司尤其喜欢（应聘者具备）正规教育加工作经验的背景。（CET-4 03年9月阅读第二篇）

5、reform n.改革 v.改革；重组

[记]重新（re-）采取一种形式（form），叫改革。

[例]The policy of reform and openness was put into effect in 1979;and since then,China hastremendously changed.改革开放的政策是1979年推出的，从那以后，中国就旧貌换新颜了。
